RaymationStudios's News

Posted by RaymationStudios - July 20th, 2022

I'm actually really liking the news feature because it's a great way to share opinions, philosophies and perspectives. Perfect for someone who has really complex, and strong ones like me. On that note, I have yet another big rant to make this time about Newgrounds itself!

To start, I haven't even been here a year yet and I can tell this is one of the best content sharing platforms out there, even though it's not really a mainstream one. (Friday Night Funkin' did change that a little. It's the reason I ever considered coming to this place as an alternative to Scratch.) I love how Newgrounds has very relaxed rules that allow people to just be themselves, it has a wonderful community and all the people I've met here are really kind, and any issues are handled and resolved professionally, and it has great forums for sharing opinions better than the scratch ones which can be closed by the scratch team at any moment, XD this place has given rise to MANY internet legends some of which are sadly no longer with us. The way it is now, it's perfect for giving rise to many more skilled and successful creators. If you have talent that can get you a following it's a perfcet place to go to second only to YouTube! (Which has bad moderation these days.) Out of all content sharing sites in the world, Newgrounds has to be my home sweet home that YouTube, Scratch, Twitter, and pretty much every other place could never be. But there is one big problem with this site that I'm really displeased with yet almost sort of happy with? Let me explain.

Newgrounds has a big focus on high quality content and getting extremely talented people recognized. I have nothing against this, if you're great at what you do, you deserve recognition and if you aren't getting that, well that just fucking sucks. But this is exactly where some major issues that leave a sour taste in my mouth begin. When extremely talented people get frontpaged and get lots of clout from it. The community expectation gains a high standard. The community believes something has to be as amazing and impressive as something that would show up on the frontpage in order for it to be considered quality. This is why my good friend @Dynomike03's movies have less than ok reviews despite passing the judgement phase even though the movies are actually pretty good in terms of quality and animation. I have nitpicks but overall am ok with the concept of a judgement phase. It actually gives you recognition before your submission is even part of the website if you think about it. And only the amazing stuff that has months of work put into it will make the cut. Not small silly things that only took a few hours or one day. You should be working harder than that, if it comes easy, it ain't worth having. But don't worry, I can totally get why people would think this is batshit as well. Maybe you did work hard on your submission and maybe you get as tired spending a day on work as I do spending a months on it. People are impacted differently by stuff. And when you get that email telling your hard work got blammed. That can definitely seem like a blatant insult. But my advice would be to spend more time perfecting and improving upon what you work on. It may not get the best reviews because of how many people are gonna be voting on it, but hey, you'll still know that lot's of people like what you made! And most people here are probably idiots who think they're cool when they blam stuff so try not to pay attention to that part of it. But the judgement phase isn't my big problem with Newgrounds. My big problem with Newgrounds is scouting. Jesus christ, I HATE the concept of scouting so damn much!

To be scouted, someone who was scouted themselves needs to scout you and once that happens your art or audio can show up in the portal. (Eligible to be seen upon clicking the art or audio section at the top of the website.) But if the scouting system is deemed to be abused, you and everyone you scouted can be descouted. I love Newgrounds, but that scouting thing is absolute bullshit and is the only thing keeping me from tattooing my dick with the Newgrounds logo! (That's a joke okay! It's a just a joke! ÓwÒ) Sure, it makes the audio and art portal show amazing high quality work, but people who don't meet a certain standard will never be recognized until they are scouted which can take a very long time as people are trying to avoid abusing it and also will only target the highest of high quality. This almost feels like gatekeeping or a type of top dog vs under dog community. For these reasons, my artwork doesn't get as much recognition as I want it to and doesn't get enough votes to give it a score. I spent months trying to perfect it and getting it to the level it is now. You may have noticed my profile used to say "Currently working hard on bettering my art" that's what that was, and to give you a visual of what the definition of "working hard" was for me, here's a comparison of my art now vs 2 months ago.

My art 2 months ago:

iu_701796_9449909.png

My art now:

iu_701797_9449909.webp

If you ask me, that's a BIG difference. And usually improvement of that level takes longer. (A year or more.) Well, that's what "hard work" amounts to and let me tell ya, I didn't work my ass off just to have nobody see or care about my shit. Hell no! I didn't come to Newgrounds for that! Even though I think this scouting system is really shitty and upright trash and countless others must agree with me. I have to admit, personally, it works well motivationally.

I have a natural habit of working even harder to create something of better quality if the previous version doesn't work out. This is what happened when I lost the progress to an RHG animation on scratch. I worked even harder and made it better than it used to be and it ended up on the trending page! But then my account was deleted so my path to fame ended there. But I was still willing to work yet even harder to get back to where I was and me being here on Newgrounds is part of that. Whenever, I'm not satisfied with the results of my work, I can just put even more work and effort into the next one. Though, art isn't my main focus anymore. For now it's animation, which we can all tell will take a bit. :(

Working harder is generally the main piece of advice given to those who complain about similar things by community members but that doesn't always tend to work. And when your community is giving the best possible advice they can and it still doesn't help someone who is struggling with your site, who's fault is that? It's not their fault, it's not the community members fault, no, it's the website developers fault that someone is struggling with the way the site is and no one can do anything to help them. You will always have haters who have nothing better to do than be angry for no reason. But if you see large amounts of dissatisfaction with great reasoning behind it. That's supposed to be an indication that change has to be made. You can't tell someone to just tolerate something that goes on and on and on. No, sometimes, you have to do what needs to be done to improve the experience of people who use what you make.

Now, I was mostly here to talk about scouting but I do want to bring up another similar point that applies to other sites and applications as well. You can't always build upon something to make it better, sometimes, utter complete change is what you need. Imagine you have a hotdog and you like it with ketchup, but at some point you're tired of using ketchup. What do you do?

A: Add more ketchup

B: Use something else (Ex: Mustard)

I can deduce that most people would pick B now let me explain why that analogy is important for the point I'm trying to make. Newgrounds was created by Tom Fulp and was founded in 1995. It is an ancient website, YouTube was not a thing back then! :O Now most features I see now in 2022 are very different from the way things work on other sites. For example, reply chains on YouTube look like this:

iu_701798_9449909.png

It specifies who you reply to and the newer it is, the lower it is. All replies are smaller and located below the original comment. Typical right? But here on Newgrounds, they look like this:

iu_701799_9449909.webp

"What is going on here?" Is probably your first thought, and so was mine. All comments, even replies are the same size and the newer ones are higher instead of lower, but if the owner of the news post responds it's highlighted and THEN it's lower. Personally, I can't immediately tell who's replying to who, I have put thought into it, and over a reply section? That really shouldn't be the case. Here's another one that's even worse. On Discord, DMs (Which are similar to Newgrounds PMs) look like this:

iu_701800_9449909.png

You just type in you message and the newer ones are lower similar to replies. Again, more typical and modern. Now take a look at what Newgrounds PMs look like:

iu_701801_9449909.webp

Seriously, wtf? The reply set up ain't bad but what's with the whole, "At 3 days ago this guy wrote:" thing? That is very old looking and it makes me feel like I'm on a 4chan forum in 2011. (4chan forums don't do that and probably never did but it gives me that vibe.) Now, why does Newgrounds work this way? My hypothesis is that these are visually updated but not structurally updated chatting systems that date back to when those methods were more typical maybe around the 2000s. And this is where my point comes in. Newgrounds likely updated old systems but never created the newer more modern systems like other sites did or were built with. So we're like the guy with the hotdog who's tired of ketchup but by visually updating and not structurally updating the chatting systems, Newgrounds is adding more and more of the ketchup, instead of making them both visually and structurally more modern and giving us the mustard that we really want. So yeah, that's problematic. But it's something I can get used to, unlike the scouting shit. >:( However, I make this point because it might be the reason scouting and even the judgement phase concepts are still around.

When Newgrounds was first realesed and during the golden age of flash, internet culture was a lot less regulated and was edgier back then. Nobody felt like following morals or anything. So the whole thing about Newgrounds is that it was amazing yet badass. And these were nifty ways to keep Newground's whole thing about quality. relevant and also was apparently used to regulate the storage as Tom Fulp said to me in an old PM reply. Long story short, it may have been nifty according to internet culture then but now people are nicer than that and more open minded and accepting so by modern internet culture standards, those concepts may seem a little off. And let's face it, they are. People are only okay with them because they've taken the time to get used to em. But circling back to my point, change is required for improvement, it can't be the same forever or else you could end up like the hotdog guy tired of using ketchup. If a new feature that was less strict and more fair than scouting replaced it in the future that'd be the best day of my life. Until then, fuck scouting! But everything else about Newgrounds is perfect! :D

If you want to share your thoughts on any of that please do so in the comments. Remember to be respectful, I'll never hesitate for even a second to flag a disrespectful comment. Please and thank you. :)

DISCLAIMER:

The following isn't being said to spite LGBTQ+ folks. I believe that unless anyone is hurting others in any way all humans should have absolute tolerance and respect for each other and who they are. My intention here is to share a personal opinion regarding others' viewpoint on the LGBTQ+ community. As a human being I have every right to state my opinion just as you have every right to disagree with my opinion. However if you disagree please refrain from hateful comments. I don't care who you think you are, I will not hesitate to flag your comment. If you wish to contradict any of the points I make please make sure you do it respectfully. I will be more than willing to listen and be open to the perspectives of others

Ok, now that I put that disclaimer there so I'm not cancelled over this. I'd like to share an observation I've noticed regarding how people view the LGBTQ+ community and share a short commentary of my personal opinion on it. For those who do not know, the LGBTQ+ (Lesbian Gay Bisexual Transgender Queer and more) is a community of genderfluid individuals who have been scrutinized by society until recently because these genderfluid concepts go against societal and social norms and humans naturally fear stuff like this. This is where the term homophobia comes from and is used to describe anyone who expresses hatred or disapproval of the LGBTQ. I'm going to make myself very clear and say this is wrong. Being part of the LGBTQ+ isn't bad, it just means you're different. You're still human at the end of the day. Homophobia is no different from racism and though I am a straight male. I am proud to identify myself as a straight ally who will stand for and protect all members of the LGBTQ+ community. Now, overtime. Humans have become more tolerant and have had a better understanding of good and bad morals. They've also been able to understand the LGBTQ+ community better and the acceptance they now have is beautiful. Though I've noticed something that has always left me confused and left me wondering how it's going to impact our world long term.

Why are members of the LGBTQ+ community looked up to and seen as amazing legendary people just by being LGBTQ+ no disrespect of course but I find it hilariously annoying. That's like thinking someone is awesome merely because they have a blue shirt. I'm not trying to be a buzzkill but the way I see it, characteristics and personality aren't what defines us as people, it's our actions and habits. To put it bluntly, I personally couldn't care less if you gay, lesbian, bi, not even LGBTQ, I don't care if your black, muslim, or if you have a piss fetish or anything about you. The only way for me to see you as a cool respectable person, is if you're actually a good person, simple as that. The moment someone comes out as lesbian or bi or even asexual like Jaiden Animations recently did. People are like "Ayo! That's sick! You're such an amazing person for being brave enough to do this!" And I can totally get the bravery aspect but personally my reaction would be. "mhm, neat." It's not really impressive to me. Being a good person is what's impressive to me. I share this opinion because while I in no way disapprove or spite the LGBTQ+ community. I want to spread awareness that you shouldn't hold people up on pedestals based on their classifications. That LGBTQ+ member could be a total bitch and a half. Lemmie give y'all a story time example.

In middle school I was in a really cringe private school where a lot of people thought having a date or something was cool and everyone had to have one. So I was suddenly corrupted with that viewpoint. I ended up getting a girl who admittedly was very cute, but I wouldn't learn until later that she was bi and she was actually cheating on me. She even broke up with me right in front of me for another dude who wasn't remotely attractive, The dude looked like a type 2 alternate from Mandela Catalouge impersonating fat albert. XD And my historically down bad simp ass kept coming back to her everytime she broke up with another guy. We kept dating and breaking up over and over. I was too young to know better, I was 12 and she was 14 at the time so I was the victim being taken advantage of. There was also other girls who randomly declared themselves bi or lesbian just to feel cool but really in terms of how they treat others they were also total pieces of shit. My point is not that LGBTQ members are bound to be pieces of shit. My point is that don't look up to them just because they are, look up to them for who they are as a person, how they treat other people.

And also, stop aspiring to be LGBTQ just to feel cool. It's a common phenomenon that I see all the time. The newfound acceptance of LGBTQ+ is absolutely amazing, but I don't like how kids feel like they need to be a part of it to be cool and people are just accepting that like it's okay. No! Kids shouldn't have to feel like they need to join a certain community or be a certain way just to feel cool, they already should. And parents, and also society as whole, should stop normalizing this phenomenon and give kids more time before really making that decision. As mere children you're too young to make decisions like that, parents need to wait until the child becomes a smarter more mature teen and THAT'S when it should be okay to make that decision. Had this been the norm, I wouldn't be seeing members of the LGBTQ+ community every 15 seconds like they're taking over the world. There's nothing wrong with being LGBTQ+ but I'd really prefer if we at least let kids decide at an older more mature age so that it could be regulated more properly.

Hear me out, you can't change the fact that it takes a boy and a girl to create a newborn, that's a fact not an opinion that people can debate about. If you do a little research, you'll find that the current global birthrate has been falling since the 90s. (In the U.S. specifically, it's been declining since 2007.) you'll also find that the rate of people coming out as part of the LGBTQ+ community has doubled over the past decade. Given the evidence I've collected, I believe I can make the deduction that The rise in the LGBTQ+ community plays a fair role in the decline of humanity's birthrate. There's also other stuff to like, COVID-19 and the global inflation, and also the stress and depression everyone is in right now. But my point is, I believe the parenting method I stated may ultimately become important someday to keep the human population at a satisfactory amount. No one has to listen to that right now because admittedly, you could argue saying it's a bit of an unnecessary stretch. (Even though the evidence would mostly prove otherwise.) But it's an idea I felt was worth mentioning as it was relevant to the topic.

Conclusion:

Now I'm going to once again make it very clear so no one can try and twist things in a way to justify attempts to cancel me. (I see y'all, I'm not stupid don't think I don't.) I'm not homophobic, I have nothing against the LGBTQ+ community and my intention were never to hurt or offend anyone, but intention doesn't always equal effect so if I did genuinely offend anyone my deepest apologies. But I have the right as an american citizen to share my viewpoints and tell the world that I think. People shouldn't look up to people because of how they classify themselves, you should do it based on whether or not they are a good person. Don't aspire to be like someone who could actually be an asshole. And also, stop feeling like you need to be in the LGBTQ+ community to be cool and well respected. That's really not cool and I have sympathy for you if you feel that way. Chances are you're an amazing person and you really shouldn't change anything about yourself just for others to like you. You have to be proud of who you are. There is no love like self love. So make sure you have plenty of that. And if by chance a person I'd consider to be a bad person is reading this, well, I believe in change. So just, do better alright? You can be redeemed, don't let the internet tell you otherwise.

I've been here for quite a long time now but I'm still a bit new to the community since I kept going innactive for long periods of time. So anyone who stumbles upon me who thinks I'm pretty cool or smth, or for anybody who's curious and wants to know me a little more. Here's the entire juicy backstory of me as a content creator.

In 2019, I was a 13 year old freshman who did pretty good in school but was lacking any sort of hobby. In life, you have things you do because you must do them, and things you do because you enjoy doing them. I didn't have anything that I found enjoyable. Life was still fun, but kinda lonely and bland. This changed when I joined scratch on my very first account, Goastpirate307. (Goastpirate307 is the name of my Roblox account which I created back in 2017 before my spelling was good. The scratch account was directly named after Roblox account and I for some reason didn't decide to fix the spelling.) I would create my very first game. Wizardknight vs Darkforce which is an RPG battle game (https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/296798753/) After making that I spent some time in the community a bit and barely found anything interesting which would be why I'd leave soon. This was also the time I started using Beepbox as a friend told me about it. I've never stopped using it since (I use Jummbox now but it's the same thing just with some extra features xd) so I have him to thank for that. I didn't use scratch again until late 2020.

I was a bored 14 year old who was looking for some games too play. The death of flash left me with less options. My search for games would lead to me rediscovering my at the time almost year old scratch account. I was able to understand the community a bit more but a misunderstanding in the comments section caused people to view me as a bully and my emotionally weak and innocent little soul was so hurt I made a new account on scratch. (Additional context: There was a sans remix of a featured project where an eye stares at the cursor. I jokingly said we didn't need a sans version but people took that litteraly and I didn't know how to handle receiving antagonistic messages at that time.) This one was named RayPlayz307. (This account was deleted by the Scratch Team following a small argument me and @Dynomike03 got with some other users. And a hate message I sent to the Scratch Team. More on that later.) This became my new main account and the previous Goastpirate307 one became my alt. Overtime, I'd make friends on this account and I would start learning how to draw, (Sort of) kept getting better at music, got REALLY good at animating (which is a skill I'm currently trying to regain.) And overall was a talented young content creator who was loved by the communities I was in. But I also couldn't deny that the community was very shitty and I had to frequently take breaks. (I made my Newgrounds account during one of these breaks. :D) There came a time where as a prank I made an alt account impersonating someone who posted inappropriate fetish projects to scratch which may I remind you is a kids site. After I revealed it was a prank and that I was really RayPlayz307. Some people misconstrued that as me saying I was posting fetish stuff. This lead to a heated, nasty argument between me and @DynoMike03 who was one of my friends on scratch and he was trying to help defend me. And some childish bozos who honestly needed to stfu and listen XD. The end result was them either leaving or getting banned but also me and Mike's comments were mass reported so we were at risk of being banned. The final straw, was when I said the word "Jizz" I didn't know what jizz ment back then and I was muted for almost an hour. (On scratch, getting muted is when you can't post a comment for a specified amount of time. This happens if the "bad word detector" yes, it's actually called that. Detects an inappropriate word.) I had to look up what Jizz meant to know why I got muted. (For those who don't know, "Jizz" is a slang term for semen.) I tried explaining to the Scratch Team it was a mistake and that I didn't know what that word meant but to no success. I eventually sent a nasty hate message to them because I was tired of being treated like garbage, my safe projects getting flagged and deleted and being ignored. They responded saying disrespectful messages won't be considered and soon after I was banned from scratch permanently. All of my alts were also banned except my Goastpirate307 account which is likely because a different account was used to create it, possibly my school account. I spread the news on this account and took a short break.

During that break I was on Newgrounds and thought it was pretty cool. I posted in the New User Introduction Thread which resulted in my name being featured In a Tank Tribute (That's really rare apparently so it's fucking insane that happened.) It seemed like I not only opened up to Newgrounds but Newgrounds was opening up to me. Despite this however, I'd make a new personal email and join scratch once more which was a really strange decision. This is where I'd make the -FrXzen_Animat0r- account which is what the scratch link on my NG account will send you to. On this account, I did the same thing I always did for about a month and got yet even better. But I still couldn't stand scratch and it's community. Yet at the same time it was the only place I felt happiness because I was going through a lot of shit IRL. But soon I decided enough was enough. I made the based decision to say bye to all of my friends and that virgin website, and leave the internet for a while. While away from scratch, I kept practicing my art, music and animation. So I could already be really good by the time I kickstart a career. I would make a YouTube channel and return to my Newgrounds account.

I started to like Newgrounds so much, I actually use it more than YouTube, which moderation reminds me of Scratch. I would install Ibis Paint X on my chromebook (that said "childhood" originally, auto correct fuckin sucks.) and watch tutorials on how to actually draw good and after a month of work, I finally found my art style and it knocks my old style out the damn park! :D at some point though. My chromebook would crash from an Ibis Paint X error and never work again until recently. I've been using my phone for Ibis Paint X drawings since then. At some point, I found a community other artists who seem to be close in age to me who are all also down horrendous simps with a bunch of sussy fantasies going on in their heads. My type of people! :D

This is where I am now! I've been a content creator since 2019 (3 years) and I'm happy to spend the rest of my time as a content creator here on Newgrounds. :)

I've decided to delete all of my old art from 2021 to when I got Ibis Paint X. I feel like my art has evolved to a very appealing level and that's what I want to be seen. Not the funny looking old pixel art drawings. I feel like I've made a new start here on Newgrounds ever since the better drawings and now I'm focused on making quality vs making cringe. With that said I am always trying to improve and I'm not satisfied with my art yet but it's definitely a big step ahead of what it used to be. I apologize if you liked the old drawings but my new style is way more likable than the old stuff trust me.

So, I just got back from an IRL conversation with my little brother about him thinking the new wave of animators in the 2020 era of the internet that create animations with OCs and stuff like that which can sometimes be lewd or have bait thumbnails and titles are cringe. Now personally, I adore these animators and aspire to be just like them, but I have a history with people who hate on these types of animators for no valid reason reason and go out of their way to call them cringe or blatantly insult the content they make. I've seen a few over on YouTube and I have really done a great job embarrassing those people and exposing how baseless and stupid they look. But that's not the point, the point is that these animators have great reason to be commendable for what they do and I am simply here on behalf those to express why they shouldn't openly be called cringe and instead should openly be loved and acknowledged.

1: They may be lewd and that's okay.

A common implied reasoning I see for the disapproval of these animators is the lewd content they can make that tends to be packed with innuendos and made with the sole purpose of arousing those who watch it. My point is, what the actual hell is wrong with that? Sure, I can understand and slightly agree with the clickbait thumbnails and titles but if the animation does have a sexual theme to it the title and thumbnails are completely justified. There also isn't a proper reason to call out an animation for being sexualized unless: It depicts a minor being sexualized or it sexualizes someone else's character without permission. Unless it falls into one of those two categories then any argument against sexualized animations of this nature are weak and invalid because: They don't typically have a logical or fair reasoning behind the criticism, the criticism is done out of discontent with the animation, (Don't like it? Don't watch it. Simple as that.) The criticism is from a minor who shouldn't be watching the animation in the first place and are actually the ones at fault there. Listen guys, to me, the purpose of art and animation is to express yourself and what you like. It's a beautiful way to show people who you are and what type of personality you may have. And here in the United States, the first amendment litteraly gives us the freedom to express ourselves in ways that aren't criminal activity. If we want express ourselves by depicting sex or softcore porn in our art and animations we have every single right to do just that and anyone who can't respect that should just leave for their sake and for ours. Sex is a natural part of life guys. If you're really out here hating on such a concept, I feel sorry for you as a human being.

2: The characters are actually really cool

I haven't seen anyone hate on their characters but since my brother does it's safe to assume countless others do as well. For your information, the characters are actually for the most part, designed quite well. As a significantly experienced story writer with many characters and stories myself, I find these characters well written for what their settings and themes appear to be. We have characters like an edgy chill emo guy, or an innocent and friendly young girl, or a demon with extremely perverted desires. Wether or not you like them these are all well written characters and the reason why they are well written is: They have an intersting personality and story that keeps us invested, they experience conflict and are vividly shown not being perfect making them seem human and not mary/gary sues, they have appealing physical traits and appearances whether it looks colorful, dark, sexy, cute, if it's appealing in any type of way it's a well designed character, the characters motives and actions can be relatable to us as human beings in which case we are understanding and receiving a moral or a message, if that happens, that is a clear indication of not just a well written character but a well written story. I'd like to see you haters come up with a character or story that is just as interesting. If you don't know how story or character writing works, sit your ass back down in the corner and watch. Maybe then you'd finally learn something.

3: Art and especially Animation is not as easy as they make it look

I am an animator and an artist. (I have no animations here or on YouTube so if you want proof, go to my scratch and watch the animations I made there. My account is called -FrXzen_Animat0r-. Quick F.Y.I, I'm no longer active there.) So I sure as hell know the pain of drawing and animating especially. For animation, I haven't done any hand drawn styled animation that wasn't stick figure related and the only time I didn't use stick figures I animated my characters with 2D models that had moving parts like the limbs and clothes and etcetera, which is widely accepted as a simple form of animation. I animate using the straight ahead method so animating effects and things that aren't characters are something I've always been more special at. Right now I seek to learn full body animation but I'm trying to better my art first before I do that so that I have a better foundation. In terms of art, I am learning, due to life situations I don't get much opportunity to practice but I've gotten quite good even though I've working very hard and have failed many times. I say all of this to signify. I'm an animator/artist, but I'm still learning. I'm not at the level of any of the people i'm inspired by yet. But in a few years I can totally see myself surpassing them. So given what I said, imagine how long they had to grind to get to where they are. Back on scratch I was known to be one of the best animators in the community I was in and I'm still grinding and learning in any way I can. And I've been pouring my heart and soul in to every drawing I made until I finally started to get some visible results. It also takes me DAYS to finish one drawing. (Mostly due to the frequent breaks I take however.) The biggest animation I ever made took a month and about 3 weeks and I actually lost a lot of progress for it due to a save getting corrupted but I still had the dedication to complete it before it's deadline to. These are the difficult experiences I've had as an artist and an animator so I can only imagine what the big leagues go through to get some of their stuff out. However, I promise I'm not trying to be cheesy, but the beautiful thing about us is that we understand how worth it it is in the end and we won't give up until we've finished our goal. Gildedguy, a hyuns dojo animator, most of his stuff takes 9 damn months! That's how long it takes for a baby to be born! And the final episode of Glitchtale litteraly took an entire year with a team of animators! If it was independent, can you imagine how much longer it would take? My point is, you don't know how disrespectful you are being by openly hating this work and content. Try some of this for yourself and then maybe you can give useful constructive criticism, but I won't forgive anybody who openly calls stuff like that cringe as if it's just pointless trash. Those poor people just don't realize how proven wrong they are time and time again.

4: At the end of the day, they are also human

Now let's not forget the most important point. On the internet, your reputation seems to be everything wether you care or not. It's easy to forget we are dealing with another human being when communicating with people through the internet. I'll bet the way one acts online is not always exactly the same as in IRL. So please be your IRL self on the internet. You wouldn't actually call someone garbage just because you didn't like them in real life now would you? Surely in real life, you're actually a lot kinder than what you may look like on the internet. Remember that these are people, they are people who are making the most of what they love to do, people who are using what should be a hobby as a career in order to make money, people who could be shy IRL but not online, people who probably feel more safe virtually than in reality. I obviously can't speak for anyone who isn't me. But I know from experience, and have seen digital artists and animators who are in situations like this and don't need hate, they need support. They need the support that they never got IRL. Remember, we are all humans, and as humans we are all supposed to be allies and friends not enemies. Making the internet a more fun and safer place could be a step toward making the world we live in a better place. All it takes is just one kind little act so for a change, quit being a hateful scumbag and say something nice that you do like. Unless you want karma to return the misery you speak upon others to you.

Conclusion:

To conclude, I think people who hate these new 2020 era animators fail to realize that they are litteraly defining another era of internet culture right now that I am more than happy to be a part of. What they make is beautiful in its own way, it's interesting, and it does a damn good job keeping us happy during these troubling times and is a great way for people to express who they are and what they like. And the reasoning behind disliking this is almost never valid or understandable. If you dislike something at least have a good reason. You can't just hate something just because you hate it and if you do then never express that to anyone! Somethings must be kept in your head so if you have nothing kind to say, refrain from talking as no one wants to hear it. At the end of the day, we all have opinions. We all can like and dislike different things but it doesn't mean we need to hate eachother for it. All you have to do is be respectful and kind even though you disagree with the other person. It is litteraly that easy. Is that really too much for humans to understand? Legitimate question guys.
